On the 27th of January Volkskultur NÖ celebrate the 1. "Trachtenball".

In the exclusiv Whisky-Lounge you could taste our whisky.

On the 16th of January the Society for creative police constable Austria (COPART) celebrate ther new year reception. Our whisky was there as well.

Our annual works outing bring us to our business partners Plohberger Malz in Griesskirchen and to the cooperage Schneckenleitner in Waidhofen/Ybbs.

On the 6th and 7th of October 2011 was in Salzburg the 3rd Whisky- and Lifestylefair.

Out Whisky was there as well.

On 17th of September we present our new whisky:

Special Rye Malt Peated J.H.

Made of 100% dark roasted rye malt, roasted with peat and capt in used wine barrels.

Taste: Nougat and chocolate, fruity and smokey

On 17th of September we celebrate Harvest Festival with a fire in our fire&water garden, a little farmers market, an exebition from Fritz Besenbäck, our druid "Whiskylix" was baptized, free carriage-rides and guided tour around the distillery the hole day. 

On this day the distillery had 1.000 visitors.

From the 29th to the 31th of August was in Vienna the "Waldviertel Pur" Festival. 3 days 75.000 visitors enjoy gastronomic specialities from this part of Lower Austria. Also present our distillery. Here some impressions. More pictures on facebook.

This year we won 3 awards at the IWSC in London for Pure Rye Malt J.H., Cask Strenght Special Pure Rye Malt Nougat J.H. and Special Single Malt Selection J.H. (Details). 

On the 29th of June Johann and Jasmin Haider became there certificate for the "Edelbrandsommelier". 

On the 18th of June we present our new Special Single Malt Peated J.H.

100% dark roasted barley malt, roasted with peat and capt in used wine casks.

Exceedinglyan on this whisky is the peat flavour. It doesnt tast like iodine or salty, but rather smoked speck.

On the 12th of June in Vienna was the international meeting of the biggest german-speaking webforum for cocktailfans.

On part of the presentation was a ryewhisky tasting with Jasmin Haider.

From the 20th of May to the 26th of May 2011 Jasmin Haider visited Scotland as "ambassador" of Austrian Whisky.

On the 7th of May 5 students from the HLW Zwettl present there project about the Whisky-Experience. They present our products and a Whisky-Ice cream made of there own recipe.

On the 1st of May we celebrate our 1. Firefestival of the year with ca. 500 visitors.

We offer poppy seed specialities, organic sausages and many more.

On the 12th of April 2011 Johann and Jasmin Haider complete there education to a "Edelbrandsommelier" (sommelier for spirits).

On the 26th and 27th of March 2011 we exhibit at the 5th Vienna Whiskyfair in Arcotel Wimberger.

On the 26th of November was the Grand Opening of the "Rodelalm" in St. Anton.

Roggenhof was presented as "best practice example for internet marketing" at the austrian telefit-show 2009.

"Discover how whisky is produced" - we created the whisky-experience world to show you just that.

The whisky distillery founded in 1995 has expanded constantly  and the current stage has been completed by the creation of the fire water garden and building of the whisky warehouse III. Our generation has accomplished the expansion of the distillery; let the next generation carry on from here. The whisky-experience world has become an even more attractive tourist destination and can welcome yearly up to 100,000 visitors.

The four elements: Fire, water, earth and air are the main theme of the fire-water garden. The focal point is  the fireplace, surrounded by water and it forms the heart of the garden. The elements earth  and air manifest themselves not only in the trees of the four seasons  which are planted all around the fire water arena, but above all in the Celtic tree circle that surrounds the whisky warehouse III and includes a tree of life  for every visitor.

An adventure playground and an playground for toddlers awaits the young visitors.

A patio has been added to the whisky cafe.

The whisky warehouse III completes the development of the storage area. It holds approx. 2,500 barrels made from local oak, this corresponds to an amount of half a million litres of whisky.

The whisky experience world at the Roggenhof has become a tourist destination of the special kind.

The new Waldviertler whisky tartan J.H. was  presented at the opening  ceremony on 19th June, 2009

Monika Haider came up with the idea, the tartan was then designed by the national costume designer Elfi Maisetschlaeger from Weitra.

This tartan takes its colours from the earth (brown-green) fire (red) air (white) and water (blue).

The growing interest and increasing numbers of visitors pushed us to our limits. So we rebuilt our distillery making it not just a functional, but also pleasing and interesting to look at, and created a Whisky Experience World

Friday 9 September 2005 the deputy head of the local parliament of Lower Austria, KR Ernest Gabman cut the red ribbon and declared the Whisky Experience World open. We also introduced the film and the book “Fascination Whisky” for the first time to the public. The 10 and 11 September were open days and we welcomed over 2000 visitors.

We had built a new larger distillery and new storage space for the barrels in just about 12 months. A cinema was also built, to introduce the visitor to the magic of whisky and to show the various steps of the whisky production. Through the glass walls of the cinema, the visitor can see the high tech still, the malt mill the malt store and the stored barrels where the whisky matures. From the rye field to the whisky glass.
The old seminar hall is now a whisky café.

The guided tour and subsequent tasting will prove to our visitors the quality of our products and we hope they will be infected  by our fascination with Whisky.
